Packaging

All items are packed carefully and with adequate materials to protect the art. Gift wrap is available for all Amita Bhalla purchases shipping to a US shipping address. To add gift wrap to your order, please visit the Shopping Bag and check the gift wrap box next to the items that need gift wrap.

All Amita Bhalla jewelry purchases come in our signature Amita Bhalla metallic leather boxes. Gift wrap for international shipments is not available at this time.

Item Care

Every piece of Amita Bhalla jewelry and oyster dish is unique, one-of-a-kind, and intricately hand-crafted.

Follow these simple guidelines to ensure your jewelry and oyster dishes will stay beautiful.

Apply all beauty products (perfume, hairspray, deodorant, etc.) before putting on your jewelry.

Jewelry should be removed prior to swimming or doing household chores which involve the use of abrasive cleaner or chemicals.

Please avoid getting jewelry wet.

It is not advised to clean jewellery products and oyster dishes with abrasive cleaning products or even proprietary jewellery cleaning products.

Use a non-abrasive cloth to clean the surface of stones and dishes. Do not use cloth over the clay, as doing so may damage the clay and the pigments used to highlight the surface.

Please note that color changes to the surface of the stones, clay, or dish may be part of natural wear-and-tear, and are not usually manufacturing faults.

Keep jewelry and oyster dish protected in box when not in use.

Customer Care

We will email order status updates to the email address you provide at check-out. Updates will include order confirmation, shipment confirmation and tracking details, as well as notification of any delays or requests for additional information.

If you have not received your order confirmation email or tracking email, please check your spam/junk mail folder.

Shipping Policy

Standard shipping is 5-day UPS or USPS. Prices vary depending on location. Packages are delivered Monday-Friday only. All shipments are fully-insured. After 3 failed delivery attempts, UPS or USPS will return the package to Amita Bhalla. We are not able to ship to PO Box Addresses.

Some orders may require additional verification, including address verification. For your protection, our associates may contact you by email or by phone to verify your order. If we are unable to contact you for verification, shipping delays may occur. Amita Bhalla is not responsible for shipping delays once a package has left our care.

International orders (shipped outside the U.S.) ship once approved by our international shipping partner. Please see our International Shipping & Returns Policy for complete details.

Regular shipping orders (non-holiday schedule) placed on AmitaBhalla.com will ship within 7 to 14 business days from the day they are placed. Please be aware of this processing time when selecting your shipping option.

Shipping Rates

Amita Bhalla offers free shipping via UPS/USPS Ground (within the 48 contiguous United States) for any purchases over $100.

Please note that we cannot offer free shipping to Alaska and Hawaii or on orders shipped outside of the United States. Free Shipping promotion applies to merchandise purchased on Amita Bhalla only.

Return Policy

Items purchased on AmitaBhalla.com and shipped to a U.S. address may be returned to Amita Bhalla for return or exchange within 7 days from the date you receive your order. Returns and exchanges are only accepted on unworn, unaltered items returned in original packaging (Amita Bhalla box, wherever applicable).

Please email amitabhallacollections@gmail.com for return requests. Please provide your Name, Address, Order Number and Reason for Return. Returns will only be accepted with a Return Authorization Number clearly labeled on the package. Approved returns will be credited for the purchase price of your item. We do not refund shipping charges unless we have sent an item in error. We cannot accept returns for merchandise purchased anywhere other than AmitaBhalla.com.

Return shipping and insurance is the responsibility of the customer. Customer is responsible for any and all shipping charges on any bounced or undeliverable packages.

Bespoke or custom items may not be returned. Custom script orders may not be returned.

Amita Bhalla does not accept returns on any merchandise that has been worn.

When you register with us as an online customer, we may ask for additional information, such as your favorite designers.

Shopping online is faster and easier when you register with AmitaBhalla.com. After registration, your shipping address and billing information will be securely stored with us, so you will never have to enter them again.

E-mails

If you receive promotional emails from us, you will be given the opportunity to “opt-out” or stop receiving them.

Custom Orders

If you have a particular style in mind or element that you love in someone else’s work, yes, Amita can extract her own style in conjunction with your idea and turn it into a unique piece. Copying someone else’s work one-for-one is not an option. The artist that has created that piece rightfully owns the design. By commencing a commission with Amita, you are accepting her inherent stylistic approach, processes and craftsmanship.

Do you take custom orders?

Yes, Amita Bhalla enjoys working on commissions and limited edition one-off pieces. Her keen eye and attention to detail in conjunction with fulfilling a custom brief yields amazing bespoke results.

How do I initiate a commission?

To initiate a commission, contact Amita via email; [domain email] to organize a consultation via phone, Skype or Facetime.

Product Info

Are all of the products made by you?

All of the clay components are made and designed by Amita Bhalla. The jewellery designs are also Amita’s. She does enlist the help of another jewelry maker to put necklaces together, but the jewelry maker works 100% off of Amita Bhalla’s drawings and measurements.

Where are your products made?

All products are made locally in Amita’s studio in Friendswood, Texas. No outsourcing or cruelty is inflicted in the process.

How long will my order take to make?

When you order from Amita Bhalla’s online shop you will either:

Select ‘Add to Cart,’ in which your product is in stock at Amita Bhalla’s studio in Texas and will be dispatched and posted within three days of order placement.Custom orders (from old pieces). In this scenario, it may take up to six weeks for the product to be made by Amita before your order is dispatched and mailed. Disclaimer: although every attempt will be made by Amita to keep the piece as similar as possible to the pictures, the product will vary depending upon the availability of stones & metal components available and the mixing pattern of the clay. In addition, because each piece is hand-crafted, no two pieces will be the same. Amita Bhalla will get back in touch with you within one to two business days to let you know if the clays and stones for your piece are available, or to give you other options.

How is my order packaged?

All items will be wrapped in tissue paper and in the case of jewelry, placed in a gorgeous leather box, ready to gift.

All items are packaged with the utmost care to ensure safe travels so that your item arrives in pristine condition.

Can I order express or registered and insured shipping?

All orders within the U.S will already be registered and insured. If you would like to insure your order for international travel, this will incur an additional cost based on your location.

COPYRIGHT & CONTENT USAGE

All of the content that appears on the Amita Bhalla website, including all visuals and text, are subject to copyright protections and/or other intellectual property rights or licenses held by Amita Bhalla. The entire content of the Amita Bhalla website is copyrighted as a collective work by Versa Creative (Design, Development, Photography) and Amita Bhalla under US copyright laws. Amita Bhalla grants you a limited license to access and share the content on this website. Content of the Amita Bhalla website is intended solely for the personal, non-commercial use by users of the website.

ORDERS POLICY

In case of any circumstance or reason outside of our control, we reserve the right to suspend the execution or fulfilment of an order. In such case, the shop shall immediately notify the customer, who will then have the right to cancel the order.

Once an order has been made and payment fulfilled, the customer accepts that they have committed to the purchase. Reversals of an order will not be accepted without contact immediately to Amita Bhalla for consideration of circumstance. Orders will be processed provided that ordered goods are available, where "Add to Cart" has been selected. In case of temporary out-of-stock goods or stock that is made-upon-order, where "Place and Order" is selected, the order will be executed right after the good is made, but no later than 40 days after the day of order. Amita Bhalla reserves the right to refuse to sell to third parties if there is unquestionable intent regarding the purpose of the order. Goods sold are intended for personal use only. Any orders believed to be made for the purposes of another entity's research and development will be declined and further action may be taken regarding copyright infringement.

Amita Bhalla shall reserve the right to refuse an order in the event of an error on the shop's website.

PRIVACY POLICY

International customers please note payment is processed through Stripe, which automatically converts to your currency when you make a purchase. As soon as you have placed an order your credit card will be debited and you will receive a confirmation email to the address of your choice.We will never collect or store any customer’s credit card information. We collect information from customers when they register on the shop's website, place an order, or subscribe to the Amita Bhalla newsletter. When ordering or registering on the online shop, customers may be asked to enter their name, email address, mailing address, phone number or credit card information. However, customers may also choose to visit our site anonymously. Customer information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without customer consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.

PRODUCT ACCURACY
All products have been as accurately described and displayed as possible on the site. Slight variation of colouring may occur when viewing in browsers through different monitors. Please be aware that every product has been hand-crafted and, as a result, slight variations in colour, size, style and shape may occur. This is part of the experience and beauty of buying hand-crafted products.


PRICING INFORMATION
Amita Bhalla reserves the right to change the prices of goods, introduce new products to the shop, carry out and cancel promotions at her store or modify its conditions at any time. WARRANTY Amita Bhalla prides herself on the quality of designs and materials employed on all items in her shop. The intent is for goods to last a long time, including a selection of products made to be worn or used comfortably every day alongside special statement pieces worn less frequently, hopefully to be loved and something you can't live without. Products that receive heavy, everyday use will require more frequent maintenance. They may need cleanings or minor surface repairs/adjustments. Please check the care guide for appropriate treatment. Wear and tear is a natural part of any piece of jewellery. A degree of care and understanding of the limitations of the materials used and its construction is important.

DEFECTIVE OR FAULTY MERCHANDISE

Amita Bhalla will repair any piece free-of-charge within a two week period from the date of purchase. Any repairs after this time frame will incur a charge, unless it's clearly a design or manufacturing fault, where the customer is required to contact Amita Bhalla within five (5) days of the delivery confirmation date.

The returned piece will then be inspected and accessed before further action is complied. If the piece doesn’t fall under ‘defective’ or ‘faulty’, the piece will either be returned to the sender’s postal address or scheduled into a repairs service and charged out at a minimum rate of $95USD.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGE

Goods that have been used or altered will not be accepted for return or exchange. Returns and exchanges will be accepted within five (5) days of the delivery confirmation date.

If there is a price difference, the customer will be contacted for payment information.

If the customer would like to return or exchange a product, please contact Amita Bhalla with the understanding that some restrictions apply. Items that have been used, worn, or damaged will not be accepted for return or exchange. If the customer believes the item has been damaged during shipping, please let Amita Bhalla know within three (3) days and everything possible will be done to assist with your insurance claim. Please include images of the damaged item. Every item posted by Amita Bhalla is packaged securely and will be in pristine, untouched, unused condition. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Once the goods are returned to Amita Bhalla in their original and unused condition, a quality check will be made before processing a refund for the goods. Depending on the original payment, it may take a few weeks for the customer to see the refund in their account.
